Twilight, AGAIN!

Okay, I am going to start with the not so latest thing that has happened. AKA Second time seeing Twilight. Well, one of my good friends, Chase, (PS It's a SHE! She hates it when people thinks she's a boy. I would be ticked off too!) had a birthday on the fifth of November, and we had not given her a present yet, mainly because she didn't have a birthday party. I know, that sounds lame, but, oh well. ANYWAY, my mom had a brilliant idea. Since Chase hadn't seen Twilight yet, we could take her! Her mom said yes. We were going to kidnap her, but, it didn't work out. Dang it. So, instead we told her, and we also invited my cousin/friend and Chase's friend, Sadie. We left, and on the way there, we argued about which Cullen boy was the best. I said that Emmett, Carlisle, and Jasper where, and Sadie said that Jasper was ugly (I gasped when she said that) and that she liked Edward and Emmett. Chase sided with Sadie, but I thought I was the coolest, thinking that Jasper was the best. Because he is. He is the best in the baseball game. Haaaaaa! We got in the movie theater just as the previews were starting, and we sat down with our large popcorn bowl and drinks. Sadie brought the movie theater cups. They were HUGE! Anyway, we watched the movie, and it was amazing, but, a little dramatic thing happened with Sadie. I'll tell you.

I know that all of you have either read the books or seen the movie, and if you haven't, skip over this part right now. I don't want to spoil it for you, but, you can't blame me if I ruined something for you, because I gave you fair warning.

When Bella goes to the ballet studio and James is waiting for her, Sadie was starting to freak out. She had seen the movie before, but she was really tired when she saw it, so she wasn't paying attention to what was going on at this part.
"Sadie, are you okay?" I whispered.
"Yeah..." she whispered back, eyes glued to the screen.
"Okay..." I said, not believing her.
When James broke her leg, and she screamed, Sadie was breaking out in sweat. She covered her mouth with her hands. Since we had cleaned out the large popcorn bowl, I picked it up from the ground and shoved it underneath her chin. Literally shoved it. She shook her head no.
"Sadie, don't be stupid!" I whisper yelled, "You look like you are going to barf!"
"I feel like I'm going to!" she whispered.
"Take the bowl!" I whispered.
"No!" she whispered back.
When Edward and James started fighting, she started shaking and turning very hot.
I started giggling because I was nervous, and Chase and my mom weren't paying attention to what Sadie was doing. She started flipping out, shaking and sweating. She had broken into a fever. I was freaking out too, because I was doing whatever it took to make her feel better. And I didn't want her to throw up on me, so I held the bowl in my lap. Finally, I had a brilliant idea. I put my hand over her eyes so she couldn't see what was going on. I stopped looking too, because when they rip James apart, it is gross, and I can't watch stuff like that. Nightmares. She was still shaking and sweating, but her fever was going down. This whole time, Chase and my mom had no idea what was going on.
"Don't watch!" I said.
"I'm not gonna!" she said back. I still held on the the bowl, just in case.
When it was over, I peeked, and pulled her hand away from her eyes.
"It's done," I said.
Sadie sighed, and stopped shaking.
"I'm fre-e-zing!" she shuddered.
I sighed. She was sweating like, two seconds before. When the movie was over, my mom was cheerful. "Wasn't that a good movie! I liked it the second time we saw it!"
Sadie and I looked at eachother, and burst out laughing. We giggled all the way back to the car, explaining what had happened.
"Whoa! I didn't notice you guys doing that at all!" Chase said.
"Then you are deaf, because we were flipping out!" I joked.
Chase laughed.
Phew! At least Sadie felt better after it was done.

Thank you for those who listened to me, and scrolled down to here. See the movie and read the books. They are amazing!
Ciao,

Grounded....Or Not?

I have no idea which one I am. Grounded or not?? My mom is still considering. If I am, then I won't be able to go to Twilight (again!) with Chase and Sadie. Since we didn't give Chase a birthday present (and I still feel bad about it) and she hasn't seen Twilight yet, we were thinking that we could take her as a little not-so-surprise birthday thing! You see, it all started this morning with Charlie Brown, an upset stomach, and a bowl of cereal.

FLASH BACK BEGINS

A couple days ago, for YW (Young Woman's, if you don't know) we went Ice Skating. It was SO much fun! While we were there, one of the leaders, Sister Robinson, gave us each a dollar bill and we could go buy some soda. I got a Fanta Orange. It was delicious, but I didn't finish it. When it was time to go, we piled in the car, laughing and having fun. Chase was the first to say that her stomach hurt on the way back, and then Sadie. I thought that they were joking. Then, dun dun dun dunnnnn, it struck me. I think since that I was drinking soda in the car, and the ride home was bumpy, that Carbon Dioxide wanted to get out, but my stomach wouldn't let it, so I had a killer stomach ache. I felt like I was going to throw up. And it hit me the worst. And I have a weak stomach.
"Lizzy, are you okay? You look a little green," Sadie said.
"Uuuunnngggghhh," I groaned.
"What's wrong?" Chase asked.
"Tummy," I said, and burped a little bit.
Chase started laughing at my burp, but Sadie was serious.
I leaned my head back on the seat, and closed my eyes, trying to ignore my rumbling stomach. When we got home, Chase and Sadie came over to my house. Chase stayed for only a little bit because she had to get something, but Sadie stayed.
"Just throw it up already!" Sadie joked, trying to make me feel better.
"I can't," I moaned, "It doesn't want to come out. I think it wants to give me pain as a punishment for drinking and driving."
Sadie laughed. I chuckled a bit, but then 'unghed' again.
I was laying down on the arm of the couch, and my dad was distracted watching Dancing With the Stars.
Sadie stayed with me a bit, but then said that she had to go.
"Bye," I said quietly.
"See ya later," she said, and left.
I quickly ran upstairs, and pulled on my PJ's, and instanly fell asleep. I didn't get much sleep that night, becuase of my tummy. When I woke up this morning, I felt a little better, but was really tired.
I went downstairs and mom wanted to watch, It's Thanksgiving, Charlie Brown! I agreed, and turned on the TV and the show. After a little while, my mom left the room, and it was just me, Emma, and Elena watching the show. Then, my mom said that I needed to eat my cereal, because I hadn't, and it was already nine-thirty. I said okay, and then returned to the show. I got distracted, and completely forgot that I had to eat. I was also really tired, so I didn't want to get up from the couch, because I had like, no sleep that night.
"Lizzy?" my mom called from upstairs.
"Yeah?" I said.
"Have you eaten your cereal yet?"
I thought she said, have you started your cereal yet. So I got up and pulled out a bowl.
"Um, yes," I said. Then I realized that I was mistaken. "Wait, what did you say?"
"I said, have you eaten your cereal yet!" my mom shouted.
"Oh! No..." I said quietly.
"What?!" my mom shouted. "I am so sick and tired of you getting distracted, and not paying attention to any word I say! You know what? You are grounded!"
"What?!" I shouted myself.
"You heard me!" she said, and closed her door.
I sulkily poured some cereal and chewed furiously. I knew I deserved punishment, but being grounded seemed a little too harsh. I thought about how to get out of this while I chewed. Well, I could do extra chores, or do chores with out being asked. Yes, that seemed like a good idea. I got up and unloaded the dishwasher. Then I swept, swiffered, and mopped the kitchen floor. (Remember, I was not asked to do any of this!) Then I folded my dad's clean work clothes, and then started washing the red laundry, and then sorted all of the dirty clothes. We have a laundry shoot, and the clothes were going up it. That is a LOT! I was then satisfied with my work. I went upstairs, and then told my mom. She congradulated me, and then started considering wether or not I am grounded or not.
FINALLY!! My mom said I'm not grounded! I can go see Twilight!! YAY!!
From a happy Lizzy,

Feel-Goods are Feelin' Good, and a Babysitting Catastrophe

I feel cured!
I'm not sad anymore. Mel and I worked things out, and we are amazing now!
OMGOSH!!! I AM SO HAPPY!! I saw Twilight with Melia and her mom and my mom (so if you are wondering why I wasn't at school, and neither was Melia, well....we were at Twilight!!) and before hand we had a sleepover, and then we went to go see Twilight. It was amazing! I want to go see it again, and so does my mom and Melia. We should go again sometime. I also want to see it again with my cousin, Sadie Buckles. We just found out that we were cousins a couple weeks ago. We have the same great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandma! 9 greats. She's Rebecca Nurse, an accused woman back in the 16oo's of being a witch. Oh well. I bet she's in a happier place now. And we aren't just 9th cousins, twice removed or anything. We are just 9th cousins. The end! I am soo happy! I will also probably see Twilight with my next door neighbor, Chase. She's awesome!
Yesterday was a sad loss, but was fun all the same.
If you know me well, I am very irresponsible when it comes to keeping my room clean. It is just impossible for me to keep it clean for about two days. Then it gets all messed up again. I think I have too much stuff...
Anyway, my little sister likes bringing in her friends to come play, in my room. It sets me off, because she pulls out all of my stuff, and never puts it back again. I can mess up my room, and no one else can! Anywho, the day before yesterday, Emma (my little sister)'s friend came over, and they pulled out all of my American Girl stuff, and then pulled out her dolls and my dolls, and started playing hair stylist. They grabbed one of my highlighters, and started coloring in the dolls' hair. My mom got really mad. The highlighter was green.
When her friend left, she didn't clean up one bit. My dad saw that my room was a mess, and I had to clean it. All of it. Not just the floor, but the dresser, the desk, my vanity thing, and under both of my beds. (My little sister shares a room with me). Oh, and my closet. I had to make a big pile and then put everything in the pile in its correct place. Creating the pile took me about an hour. And let me tell you, the pile was HUGE! It went up to my knees, and was about three feet long. I put everything away, which took me about two hours, and then had to vaccuum it. Then I put away the vaccuum, and asked my dad if I could go over to Sadie's house. He said sure, and I whooped, and then ran over to her house. We painted in her basement, and went on her roof. (Don't tell her parents, or my parents! :D) We talked, and did other random stuff. Then I had to go home and babysit. That was a nightmare. Let me tell you what happened.

*****************************

I went over to babysitting, and I was pretty happy that my room was finished and everything. The family has three kids. The oldest is James, and he is nine. He's my brothers best friend. The middle child is Brielle, and she is five. She's my little sisters best friend. And the youngest is Braylee. She is one, and so adorable! She has the cutest nick names. They are Bray-Bray, and Bee-Ray. Oh, and they also have this little dog named Gidget, and she adores me. When I walked in the house, she ran up and started licking me and barking happily. She is like a black terrier or something along those lines. Brielle was at the neighbors house playing, and James was at my house playing with Eric, my brother. So I had Braylee all to myself, and Gidget. We were pretty happy. Then my little sister came over to play with Brielle, so I went over to the neighbors, and she had to come home anyway, and Emma played with Brielle. Brielle can be very talk-backative, and she is rude to you sometimes. I can have fun with her, but if you tell her something that she can't do, she starts having a tantrum and getting in a fit and all that stuff. She is also a little spoiled. She has her own TV and DVD player in her room, and has lots of princess stuff. She basically has what ever she wants.
ANYWAY, Emma and Brielle were playing with Braylee, and I was playing with Gidgie, but keeping an eye on them every now and them.
In their basement, they have a playroom with two levels. There is a first level, and a second level. You climb a small ladder to get to the top, and to get down, you slide down a bright yellow slide. Braylee loves that slide, so I would hold on to her, and slide her down. She giggles and always wants to go on it again. In that playroom, Brielle was getting bossy, and taking charge, and talking back at me. Brielle was climbing up the slide, and then when Emma followed her up the slide, Brielle yelled at her, and sayed that no one was allowed to climb up the slide.
"Emma! STOP IT! You can't climb up the slide!" Brielle yelled. My little sister Emma is very timid, and stopped immediatly.
"Brielle, but you just climbed up the slide," I told her gently.
"Yeah, but....-" she thought of something to say, "But it'll break!"
"Then you shouldn't climb up the slide either," I reminded her.
"Well, I own this house, and you don't, so you can't tell me what to do!" Brielle said rudely.
"But your parents put me in charge of this house for a couple hours, so I can tell you what to do, okay?" I said softly.
"So?" she shouted.
Braylee was giggling, squirting drool all over the place.
"So, I need to tell you what to do so you can be safe," I reminded her again.
"But...!" she said.
She finally let it go, and then climbed up to the top of the slide, and then put Braylee on her lap, and slid down.
Braylee loved it.
Emma walked up to me.
"Lizzy, can I slide down the slide with Braylee, too?" she whispered in my ear.
"Sure, and I'll stand by you just in case," I said.
Emma happily climbed up the ladder and sat on the top of the slide. I put Braylee on her lap. Brielle noticed.
"HEY!!! YOU CAN'T DO THAT!!" she screamed at me.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Because, its not safe!" she said.
"I'm standing right here, and you just did it."
"Yeah, but, I'm her sister, and I can do what I want with her!"
"Emma would like a turn, and Braylee will be just fine," I said.
"No she won't! Emma will drop her, and hurt her!" Brielle shouted.
Emma's face turned red.
"Brielle, I'm standing right here. I assure you that everything will be fine," I said gently.
Emma slid down the slide, and as I predicted, nothing happened that was terrible. It went smoothly.
"Fine!" Brielle said rudely. Let me remind you, she's five!
I was getting a little annoyed at her talk, but I ignored it.
Brielle stomped to her room, and Emma followed, and Braylee toddled behind me when I followed them.
I walked in her room, and noticed this little joystick thing, with the Disney Princess logo on this.
"What's this?" I asked, picking up the joystick.
"Oh!" Brielle forgot to be mad at me, "That's my game!"
She turned on the TV and plugged in the joystick. Tinkling music turned on, and the Disney Princesses appeared on the screen.
"Cool," I said.
She started the game, and she played as the Sleeping Beauty fairies, waking up the sleeping subjects. Emma sat on the bed, watching her eagerly. After about 10 minutes, Emma whispered, "Lizzy, can I have a turn?"
"Sure, Emma," I said.
"Hey Brielle," I said.
She ignored me, too absorbed in her game.
"Brielle," I called louder.
She ignored me again.
"Brielle!" I practically shouted.
"What?" she said rudely, annoyed that she was interuppted from the game.
"Emma would like a turn," I said.
"Yeah, so?" she replied.
"Can you share, and let her play now?" I asked.
She ignored me again.
Emma's face turned red again, almost sent to tears.
"Brielle!" I said, my patience fading.
"What?" she shouted.
"Emma would like a turn," I said.
"I heard you the first time!" she said, annoyed.
"Then why don't you answer me!" I said, my patience almost gone.
She ignored me again.
Emma started to cry.
"Brielle!" Emma sobbed, "I am sad! I want to play!"
"Brielle, please share," I said, trying to calm myself down.
She ignored me.
Emma started to cry harder.
"Emma, do you want to go home?" I asked, trying to calm her down.
"No! I want to play!" she cried.
"I don't care if you go home, Emma!" Brielle said.
That set me off. I grabbed the phone, and dialed my number sharply.
"Hello?" my mom answered the phone. Emma was sitting on my lap, sniffing. (I was in a different room, so Brielle couldn't hear our conversation.)
"Hi mom. Emma wants to go home," I said.
Emma nodded, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Okay. What's the problem?" my mom asked.
I told her what happened.
"Then you lay the foot down, Lizzy. Either you let her share, or turn it off," my mom advised.
"Okay," I said, and hung up.
"Mommy will get you soon," I told Emma.
She nodded again.
I walked in Brielles room again. She was still playing the game.
"Brielle," I said, annoyed, "Either you give Emma a turn right now, or you turn it off! Which do you choose?"
She ignored me.
I stood in front of the TV, blocking her view, but she just leaned around me, still playing it.
"I am giving you one more chance!" I almost shouted. I was over reacting just a little bit, but all the times that she was rude me, in all of the babysitting jobs, my emotions were finally getting the better of me.
"Either-you-turn-off-that-game-or-you-give-the-stick-to-Emma," I said, my voice shaking. I was over reacting.
She ignored me.
I exploded.
I turned around, and turned off the TV.
She screamed.
"HEY!!! YOU ARE THE WORST BABYSITTER IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!" she shrieked, and collapsed on the bed, sobbing.
The entire time, Braylee had a Snow White in her mouth, and sucking on it, staring at us.
"If you turn that TV on while I am upstairs, you are going to be in Time-Out," I said, and left the room, Braylee toddling behind me, and Emma sniffing, holding my hand. Someone was at the door, and Gidget started barking.
It was my dad. Emma ran to him, and sobbed in his legs. He looked at me. I shrugged. Braylee giggled again.
"Bye dad," I said, "I love you."
"Have fun," he said, and I closed the door.
"Haaaa-goo," Braylee said.
I smiled and picked her up. Brielle came upstairs, wiping her face with her sleeve.

Couple hours later, the parents came home.
"So, how were the kids?" they asked.
I shrugged. "Okay, I guess," I said, and smiled to myself.

********************************

When I came home, I called Sadie, and Chase came over too. We went to Chase's house, and played Rock Band the rest of the night. It was fun. Then Sadie left, and we watched Pirates One. It was pretty good. But we only saw the first 20 minutes before my dad came and picked me up. I found out that BYU lost sadly. Ah well. There's next year.
Ciao for now!

The Great Depression (In My Saddness)

Hi.
Depressed speaking.
I feel so left out sometimes. I mean, we all feel left out sometimes, but this left-outedness was so overwhelming (in my part) that I was very upset and frustrated. It all started two nights ago, with basements, and Kung-Fu.
*flash back begins*

I was a very happy person, two days ago, and my day was going perfectly. I found out I got 100% on my math test, and it was an A-Day, so I had English with all my friends. As you can see, I was cheerful.
When I got home from school, my hair wind-swept and my cheeks pink, I got a phone call. It was from one of my best friends, Melia. (She has a blog! Go to www.cheersoccer.blogspot.com!)
"Hello?" I said into the phone.
"Hey Liz!" It was Melia.
"Hi Mel! What's up?" I asked.
"Oh, well Ashley (my friend) and I are going to watch Kung-Fu Panda in my basement. Do you want to come over and watch it with us?" Melia said.
"Sure!" I said excitedly, "Let me ask my mom."
I put the phone down.
"Hey mom! Melia is wondering if I can go over to her house and hang out. Can I go?" I called.
"First you need to finish your homework!" my mom reminded me.
"Okay," I said, and told Melia.
"Lizzy, come down as soon as you finish your homework, okay?"
"Okay!" I said, and hung up.
I get distracted easily. If you know me well, you would know. When it was almost 5:30, and I was finishing up my last problem, Melia called.
"Lizzy, what is taking you so long? We are gonna start the movie with out you if you don't hurry!" Melia said.
"I was finishing up my last problem when you so rudely interrupted me!" I said jokingly.
"Okay, bye!" she said quickly, and hung up.
I finished my problem and piled into the car.
"Com on mom! Melia is waiting!" I shouted out the car door.
"I'm coming, I'm coming," said my mom.
We finally pulled out of the driveway and drove down to Melia's house.
"By mom. Thanks for letting me go," I said, getting out of the car.
"No problem. Bye honey!"
"Bye mom!" I said, and knocked on Melia's door.
She answered the door, and we ran downstairs and watched the movie. Then we had to stop the movie in the middle, and go to Lone Peak High School and give Tanner (her older brother) dinner because he was at a play rehearsal. We came back home and finished the movie right when my mom came to pick me and Ashley up.
"Hey Melia," I said while walking out her front door, "Do you think you can hang out tomorrow?"
"I'm not sure," she said, looking at her mom who was standing behind her.
"Do you think I could come home with you tomorrow?" I asked.
"I don't know," she said.
"Then maybe you could come home with me!" I said.
I looked over my shoulder and yelled. "Hey mom, can Melia come home with me tomorrow?"
"I don't know!" she yelled back.
"Lizzy, I'll call you in the morning. I really need to go pee!" she said.
"Oh!" I laughed, "Okay, bye!"
She closed the door and left, and we dropped Ashley off at her house, and drove home. The next day, I waited before school by the phone, waiting for Melia to call me.
What is taking her so long? I thought.
"Lizzy, you need to go!" my mom said, and pushed me out the sliding glass door with goodbye's, I love you's and see you after school's.

When I got to school, I ran into Melia.
"Melia, why didn't you call me?" I asked her.
"Oh, sorry Lizzy!" she said, "Our bus was late, and we had to wait outside for it to come. And I slept in!"
"Oh, okay," I said, and let the subject drop.
We went to PE, and Melia's cheer friend, Jessica, called her in the PE locker room.
"Hey Melia, since we don't have Flyerz today, do you think that we can hang out after school?" she asked.
"Sorry Jessica, but I am already playing with Lizzy after school," Melia told her.
"Oh, okay! Maybe another time," Jessica said.

When PE was done and we were changing in the locker room, Jessica had a great idea.
"Hey, how about we go to Jump On It over the weekend, together!" she said.
"Yeah!" Melia and I agreed.
"Okay!" Jessica said, and I left the locker room feeling very happy.

After school, I was expecting Melia to call, since she didn't before school. I finished my jobs, and sat waiting by the phone. A half an hour passed, and no call came from Melia. Finally, when I couldn't take it any longer, I called her house.
Nobody answered.
I was a little worried.
I tried calling again, and her mom answered the phone on the last ring.
"Hi, is Melia there?" I asked.
"No, she isn't. May I take a message?" her mom asked.
Things started going downhill from there.
"Um, well, this is Lizzy. Do you know where she is?" I asked, spirits sinking. She had promised to play with me after school!
"Oh yes! She is at Jump On It," her mom said.
I had a feeling she was with another friend, even though she promised.
My nose started to stuff up.
"Oh..." I said in a small voice, "could you tell her that I called?"
"Yes, she will be back at 6:00. I'll tell her to call you," her mom replied.
"Okay...bye..." I said, and quickly hung up. Tears were welling up in my eyes. It hadn't been the last time someone broke a promise to me.
I ran upstairs.
"Mom!" I shouted.
"What?" she said.
"Melia is at Jump On It, and I wasn't invited, and she promised that she would play with me, and that she would call me, but she didn't, and she's not getting back by six!" I cried.
"Oh..." my mom took me in her arms, and I sobbed into her shoulder.
"You have plenty of other friends, like Sadie and Ashley B.," she reminded me.
"Yeah," I said, wiping my nose and eyes on my sleeve. I took in a big, shaky breath.
"Okay..." I sighed.
I just watched TV, waiting until six to come. Six came and went, and no call from Melia ever came. It was past six thirty when I broke down again. I was thinking that maybe she was avoiding me, or that she didn't want to hang out with me, and just said that, or maybe she just forgot all about her promise to me, and decided to go to Jump On It with another friend, and didn't hear that I called her house, wanting to know where she was, and why she didn't call me in the first place. I started to cry again, and ran to my room and sobbed into my pillow. My mom heard me and came in again. She rubbed my back for a while, and then gave me a hug.
"It's okay, Lizzy," she said, trying to comfort me.
"Sometimes-" I paused. Then I said this quickly, relieved to get it out of my system.
"Sometimes I feel like Melia doesn't want to play with me, and sometimes whenever I go over to her house, tons of other people call, and she invites them over too when I just want to play with her alone, and then I just feel left out because everybody else is swarming around her because they are friends with her too, and-" I paused to take a breath. "I am just so scared to tell her that I want to be with her alone, and just play with her, and sometimes, she just forgets that she had plans with me, and goes off and plays with another friend! I just want to crawl under a rock!" I sobbed.
"Lizzy, I've told you that you have other friends too. Why don't you play with Chase?" Right when my mom said that, a knock came on the door.
"I'll get it," I sniffed.
I walked down stairs, and lo and behold, it was Chase.
I sniffed happily.
"Hi Lizzy. Um, are you okay?" she asked sympathetically.
"Yeah," I said, wiping my nose on my sleeve.
"Oh, I was just wondering if you wanted to play..." she trailed off.
"Yes! I would love to play! I need a friend!" I said, my spirits rising.

Well, at least Chase came to my rescue. That whole time while I was at Chase's house, I always expected my mom to call and say that Melia called, but, she never did. I still feel a little put down, but that was yesterday, and I just want to talk to Melia about it. Let her know how I feel when she does things like that. And ask her to remember to not do that again. But I don't know how to do it. I need help. Email me if you have any suggestions, or I'll allow comments. Most likely, the comments thing.
Okay well, C ya l8ter!
Ciao for now,
Lizzy

Bookworm

As you all know, I am the biggest, fattest bookworm ever. There may be a few exceptions though. But anyway, I have so many books I want to read. My mom went to the library, and she found this little brochure thing and it has fantasy books listed for teens. So, what I will do, is I will list all the books that I want to read, the author, and a little description that they have listed. Okay, ready??? I thought you were.

  1. Golden - Cameron Dokey [Rapunzel has only two nights and one day in which to free a girl from a curse.]

  2. Shadow Spinner - Susan Fletcher [When Marjan, a thirteen year-old crippled girl, joins the Sultan's harem in ancient Persia, she gathers for Shahrazad the stories which will save the queens life.]

  3. Dragon Slippers - Jessica Day George [Orphaned after a fever epidemic, Creel befriends a dragon and unkowningly inherits an object that can either save or destroy her kingdom.]

  4. Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow - Jessica Day George [When an isbjorn promises that her family will become rich if only the lass will accompany him to his castle, she doesn't hesitate. But the bear is not what he seems, nor his castle, which is made of ice and inhabited by a staff of silent servants.]

  5. The Princess Bride - William Goldman [What happens when the most beautiful girl marries the most handsomest prince, and he turns out to be, well, rotten?]
